Yellow Dog Records recording artist Mary Flower is renowned for a uniquely personal vision of roots music that blends ragtime, acoustic blues, and folk - technically dazzling yet grounded in the down-to-earth simplicity of early 20th century American music.
Whether playing his great-grandfather's harp guitar, his 1930 National Steel or a standard 6-string, Stephen Bennett is a musician to hear. His playing has won awards and critical praise. In live performance and on record, his diverse musical influences and interests are joined with a lifelong love affair with the sound of guitar strings.
General Notes:
There can only be about 12 people due to space constraints but this also helps make the workshop and/or concert much more personal. Please join us. The cost per person is generally $50 and must be paid in advance. The cost varies by artist, so it is worth a call to the shop to verify actual dates, times and cost.
