Laurent Brondel Style A-1. Cocobolo & Englemann. We met Laurent through Buck Curran. Buck's Sobell-inspired Butterfly model guitar is a shop favorite. Both of these builders refined their craft working in Maine with the master Luthier Dana Bourgeois. Laurent Brondel also draws inspiration from the work of Stefan Sobell.
Laurent's A-1 is a modified Dreadnaught, The curves are sharper than a traditional D and slightly flatter on the tail. the waist is considerably tighter allowing the guitar to sit lower on your knee, thus eliminating shoulder fatigue. In effect, it's a large guitar that feels small and comfortable. |
