Favillas were made in New York between 1890 to 1970. The company continued for 3 more years importing instruments but folded in 1973.
American made models have the Favilla Family Crest impressed into the headstock. Imported models have a script logo applied to the headstock.
This model was successful during the Folk Boom, feeding the apparently endless demand for folk instruments during the late 1950s and early 1960s.
