Dobro Model 36 1969

Chrome plated brass body with engraved roses (as opposed to sand blasted) and highly figured flame maple neck with a burst finish. This version is equipped with barrel Grover tuners. 1969 was the year that the Dopyera brothers re-aquired their company name: Dobro Manufacturing Company from the Mosrite Guitar Company owned by Semie Moseley. The Dobro Manufacturing Company was again sold in 1993 to the Gibson Guitar Corporation and manufacturing moved to Nashville.

The basic design for the Dobro was the third version by John Dopyera, the inventor of the resonator guitar.
